Difference Makers Circles
Currently, we have two Difference Maker Circle options—Self-Development Circle and Keeping It Fresh Circle. Each is centred around the concepts in our book, ‘12 Steps of Self-Leadership: The Difference Maker’s Guide to Living and Leading on Purpose.‘
Our Self-Development Circle is designed for people who are ready to explore their own uniqueness, and the potential and purpose they have in making a positive difference for Self and others in life, work, and relationships. It is for people who have a sense that there is, and they want more out of, life. They may be tired of ‘status quo’ living, in transition personally or professionally, experienced some life-changing events, and/or are seeking new ways to tap into their best Self.
The Circle meets weekly for 2.5-hours for ten weeks from 6:30-9:00pm. The actual dates for the Fall 2018 program will be finalized shortly. What we know at this point is that the program will begin in September 2018 in London, Ontario, and end in November 2018.
The program is based on the concepts contained in our book 12 Steps of Self-Leadership. The facilitated interactive sessions lead participants through the book, and through teaching, listening, discussing, and sharing insights and questions related to the topic of the session, participants benefit from the amplified group experience.
To help create an optimal experience for all, the maximum number of participants is limited to 5 people, plus us, Doug and Cheryl. That keeps things moving while allowing meaningful time and opportunity for each person to contribute to the conversation.
Specific details about the dates for the Book Study Circle, along with registration details will be posted soon. In the meantime, please feel free to contact Cheryl to learn more and/or give us your email so we can send you details.
Keeping It Fresh Circle
Our Keeping It Fresh Circle is specifically for people who have already participated in a Book Study Circle and want to be part of ongoing conversations with others who are committed to Self development and their role as a Difference Maker in service to Self and others.
This Circle, facilitated by us, is slightly less structured than the Book Study Circle. A ‘third thing’—an excerpt from our book or from someone else’s work—will serve as the centering topic that gets discussion started. The primary objective is to talk about the ‘journey’, i.e. how does this piece speak to you, what have you been noticing or learning about your Self or others, how are you being challenged, what has been working, etc.?
The intent of the Circle is to provide a safe, inspiring, engaging, and affirming space that supports each participant as they continue to grow and learn.
The conversation helps participants maintain and deepen their connection to Self and Source, as well as their purpose as a Difference Maker. It also provides an opportunity to talk about some of the challenges and opportunities that are inherently part of life, work, and relationships, and how the concepts of Self-leadership, and elements of each person’s unique FISC can be utilized.
